Hello October! Desserts we're FALLing for this Season.

The weather is getting cooler, the air is crisp, and it's almost acceptable to wear your Uggs (in public) again. Check out these not so #basic desserts to enjoy with family, friends, or a PSL in hand.

1. Brown Sugar Fig Macarons

So you probably don't think you're a fan of figs, but trust us - they don't even taste like fruit. They literally taste like you're eating candy. Macarons are great because they can really take on any flavour. The nutty flavour of the meringue based shell pairs so well with the warmth of the brown sugar +  fig filling. Don't be shy to try this mature flavour pairing - it will probably end up making your Fall Faves list too.

2. Chocolate-Hazelnut Cheesecake

When you think of a cheesecake, you naturally picture that classic New York-style rich cake topped with strawberries. Don't get us wrong - that's delish; but this is basically Nutella, and who doesn't like Nutella?! This cheesecake is a great option for those whom have intolerances and allergies to gluten. Instead of a cookie crumb base, it's made with crushed toasted hazelnuts. The cheesecake middle has chocolate + hazelnut flavouring; and is topped with chocolate-hazelnut ganache. MMM.

*seasonally available

3. Cinnamon Scones

Scones are one of our favourite pastries, in any flavour!! These in particular probably rank as #1 on our Scone list. Why?? Because they are the perfect combination of moist, buttery, flaky, + cinnamon-y (if that's even a word!) They keep you coming back for more, they freeze wonderfully, + can be enjoyed anytime of day, any season.

*available year round

4. Salted Caramel-Apple Pie

A twist on the classic - this pie is baked with brown sugar + sea salt, resulting in #droolworthy salted caramel paired with perfectly spiced apples. Order this dessert when you crave the comfort of a familiar face, and a new adventure.

5. Ginger-Molasses Cookies

This classic cookie has what we call the "S" factor - a triple threat: Salty, Spicy, + Sweet. You can thank it's chewy texture for making it easy to eat the whole batch in a sitting. Although the ginger isn't the mayor of Flavourtown, you can really taste the kick without being too overpowering.
